MYA is in the business rural supply chain management. It involves the following:
- Aggregating the supplier/production base and their input requirements;
- Procuring the inputs for the supplier & production base;
- Establishing buyback and market linkages for the produce or service;
MYA is establishing a sustainable model for financing poverty alleviation by building a comprehensive last mile rural supply chain, to facilitate job creation and asset creation for the rural poor and to support product and service providers to access rural households.
MYA’s initial focus is to roll out its supply chain management services across the dairy farming sectors. Over the next five years, MYA will have a footprint in 20,000 villages, servicing 1.69 million cattle through 870,000 dairy farmers through a network of 3,425 Milk Collection Centres and will create 4,793 jobs in the process.
