Rohtash Mal - CEO, Escorts Agri Machinery Group (AMG)
 
Rohtash Mal is Vinod Khosla’s nominee to MYA’s Board of Directors. Rohtash Mal is an alumnus of Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta and Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.  He has a rich experience of over thirty years in diverse industries like automobiles, telecom, chemicals, paper and exports. He joined Escorts Agri machinery Group (AMG) in November 2007 as Executive Director and Chief Executive. AMG is part of the Escorts Group which has annual revenues of over $650 million.

Before Escorts, he was with the Bharti group (Market Cap of $40.13 billion) for over six years as CEO of their Broadband/landline business as well as the Agribusiness for two years as the CEO.  Using his strategic and implementation skills, he made Airtel not only the first private player to launch services in Delhi at a time when the competition already had a head start of over a year, but also acquired 50% of top telecom revenue accounts in the first six months since launch.  Seeing the success in Delhi, he was further entrusted to enhance the company operation in Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.  BTVL’s belief in his leadership style of leading from the front mandated Rohtash in October 2005 to increase the operations in Rajasthan, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal and Orissa.

Rohtash moved on to Bharti’s new venture in Agribusiness wherein he successfully established the joint venture of the Bharti Group with Del Monte Pacific Limited.
Rohtash’s previous assignment has been as the Chief General Manager of the Sales and Marketing Division of Maruti Udyog Limited (India’s largest automobile company) for over four years and in this capacity he was looking after nationwide customer operations of the company.  He was also instrumental in starting an auto finance project in a Joint venture with Citibank.

Prior to joining Maruti Udyog, Rohtash worked for Ballarpur Industries Limited, (Thapar Group), where he had joined as a Management Trainee in 1980 and grew to be Senior Vice President before relinquishing his charge after a fruitful, extensive and knowledgeable span of eighteen years.
He has the ability to work in diverse management cultures and has spent his professional life of thirty years in almost all functions of an organization.  He is also a member of the Executive Advisory Committee of Simon Business School, University of Rochester, USA.

On his personal front he is a happily married Man with his wife Ritu who is a Management Consultant.  His Son, Adwitiya works with AXA in Hong Kong and daughter Archita is a PR professional with a leading publishing house.  His interests are in travelling, reading and listening to music.
 
 
Harsha Moily – Founder and Chief Executive Officer
 
Harsha Moily founded MYA in 2005. He has 14 years of investment and operating experience in the US, UK & India in Private Equity, Telecom, Infrastructure, Hydrocarbon and Agribusiness sectors. Prior to starting-up MYA in 2006, he spent three years in London working in private equity and project development where he was involved with transactions in hydrocarbon & infrastructure sectors helping build a portfolio of high-quality infrastructure assets diversified across different stages of the asset life cycle. He has three years of work experience in India, working for India’s largest private sector company where he was part of a core team which evaluated opportunities in the telecom sector and laid the blue print for the rollout of one of the world’s largest telecom networks. He also spent four years in the USA with Agribusiness and Investment Research companies.

Harsha holds an MBA in International Business from Thunderbird, School of Global Management (USA) and Bachelors in Commerce from St. Joseph’s College of Commerce, Bangalore University (INDIA).

Harsha brings to MYA his ability to conceptualize innovative business models and develop and facilitate the execution of large scale infrastructure projects under challenging market conditions. He is committed to making the rural poor active participants in India’s growth story.
 
 
Derek Streat – Vice President – New Ventures, Unitus
 
Derek is Unitus Equity Fund’s (UEF) nominee to MYA’s Board. He leads the Unitus team responsible for evaluating, resourcing, and launching new businesses that empower the poor to achieve and sustain economic freedom. In his prior career, Derek served as co-founder and CEO of Adready, a venture-funded provider of hosted services to democratize the online display advertising market. Before that Derek was a member of the initial executive team at Classmates Online where, as VP of Strategic & Corporate Development, he was responsible for developing and executing the Company's growth, financing and liquidity strategies, including the company’s sale in 2004. He also served as VP of Business Development and General Manager of Classmates’ advertising and media business, responsible for developing and executing the Company's larger partnering programs in the online marketing, data acquisition, and content distribution spaces. Prior to Classmates, Derek was an investment banker and institutional research analyst with two firms: RBC Financial Group (formerly Dain Rauscher Wessels) and Roth Capital Partners..
 
 
Mr. Bharath Sesha – Business Unit Director, Asia- Pacific / Middle East / Africa DSM Anti-Infectives
 
Bharath Sesha has over nine years of experience working with international corporations across the globe in the electronics, semiconductors and pharmaceutical industries. His areas of expertise include supply chain, business strategy and creating and growing markets.

Some of the positions he has held include Head of Purchasing for the North American operations of Philips Semiconductors. Director Of Supply Chain for the Mobile Display Systems business of Philips and currently is the head of business for the regions of Asia Pacific. Middle East and Africa for DSM Anti-Infectives (DAI). DAI is in the business of supplying generic pharma companies with Advanced Pharmaceutical Intermediates.

Bharath has lived and worked in the US, Mexico, Netherlands and Hong Kong before moving back to India in late 2005 to join DAI. He has developed and implemented strategic projects and initiatives for various industries in various parts of the globe in the span of his career with Philips and DSM.

Bharath has completed his Masters in International Management from Thunderbird School of Global Management in Arizona, US.

Bharath brings to MYA, his extensive experience in Supply Chain.
